Job summary

DFI Retail Group is seeking an Engineering Lead to oversee end-to-end Magento-based e-commerce development across Singapore and Malaysia. You will drive SDLC from requirements through production, partnering with regional business leaders and engineering teams to deliver scalable, high-performance solutions.

The role requires deep Magento/Adobe Commerce expertise, GraphQL, headless architecture, and proven experience integrating with major regional marketplaces.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related technical discipline.
• 7–10 years of progressive hands-on experience in e-commerce application development and delivery.
• Proven track record leading end-to-end Magento 2 / Adobe Commerce enterprise implementations.
• 3rd-Party Marketplace experience with major regional platforms (Shopee, Lazada) via connectors.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end SDLC for SG and MY stores including requirements gathering, scoping, build, SIT, UAT, and go-live.
• Lead architectural design and analytical evaluation of marketplace integrations for external platforms.
• Oversee internal engineering resources and third-party partners with QA and SLA adherence.
• Diagnose platform bottlenecks, optimize queries, and improve GraphQL API performance.
• Collaborate with SG/MY business, product, and banner leads to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.
