Job summary

SKIDATA Malaysia Office seeks an experienced Financial Accountant to lead forecasting, budgeting, general ledger, tax, payroll and governance for APAC and Malaysia. Reporting to the Senior Manager – Finance and Administration APAC, you will own a broad remit and drive accurate financial planning and reporting.

You will manage month-end close, reconciliations, BAS, payroll tax and audits while collaborating with regional stakeholders in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; CPA desirable.
• 5+ years experience in financial accounting, reporting, budgeting and forecasting.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, AASB, ATO obligations and Australian corporate tax.
• Hands-on experience with BAS, IAS, FBT, payroll tax and WorkCover compliance.

Responsibilities

• Manage fortnightly sales forecast and support quarterly cycles and annual budget.
• Prepare internal management reports and group submissions, and support statutory reporting obligations.
• Manage reconciliations, journals, accruals and month-end/year-end close.
• Oversee BAS and payroll tax lodgements, and support IAS, FBT, transfer pricing and other tax obligations.
• Oversee end-to-end payroll in line with Fair Work and modern awards, including superannuation and entitlements.
• Prepare for internal and external audits and strengthen internal controls and governance.
• Support oversight of AP and AR, and guide junior finance team members.
• Partner with local, regional and group stakeholders for finance queries and ad hoc analysis.
• Drive process improvements and maintain SOP documentation for key finance workflows.
• Support company secretarial obligations and governance compliance across APAC entities.
