Job summary

SKIDATA Malaysia is seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to lead financial planning, reporting and performance management for SKIDATA Australasia and Malaysia. This hands-on role reports to the Senior Manager – Finance and Administration APAC and covers forecasting, budgeting, general ledger, tax, payroll and governance.

You will manage end-to-end payroll, tax obligations, audits, and strengthen internal controls across APAC entities while collaborating with local, regional and group

Qualifications

  • A degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field; CPA qualification desirable.
  • At least 5 years' experience in financial accounting, reporting, budgeting and forecasting.
  • Solid knowledge of IFRS, AASB, ATO obligations and Australian corporate tax.
  • Hands-on experience with BAS, IAS, FBT, payroll tax and WorkCover compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the fortnightly sales forecast and support quarterly forecast cycles and the annual budget process, documenting assumptions and explaining variances.
  • Prepare internal management reports and group submissions, and support statutory and external reporting obligations.
  • Manage reconciliations, journals, accruals and balance sheet maintenance, and review and finalise month-end and year-end close.
  • Manage BAS and payroll tax lodgements, and support IAS, FBT, transfer pricing and other tax obligations, liaising with group tax and external advisors.
  • Oversee end-to-end payroll in line with Fair Work and relevant Modern Awards, including superannuation, leave and entitlements.
  • Prepare for internal and external audits and strengthen internal controls and compliance frameworks.
  • Support oversight of AP and AR, and help guide junior and offshore finance team members.
  • Partner with local, regional and group stakeholders as a key point of contact for finance queries and ad hoc analysis.
  • Drive process improvements and maintain SOP documentation for key finance workflows.
  • Support company secretarial obligations and governance compliance across APAC entities.

About the role

We're looking for an experienced Financial Accountant to play a key role in financial planning, reporting and performance management across SKIDATA Australasia and Malaysia. What you'll bring
