Job summary

Eaton is seeking a regional finance professional to provide commercial and project finance support across Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore with potential expansion to East Asia. The role focuses on reviewing finance‑related contract terms, supporting negotiations, and ensuring timely execution to improve cash flow and project margins.

You will partner with country finance and project teams, manage unbilled receivables, and ensure compliance with local regulations.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field.
Experience in commercial finance, project finance, contract review, or project controlling.
Experience in regional or multinational environments preferred.
Exposure to cross‑border projects advantageous.
Strong understanding of contract terms and project business models.
Knowledge of milestone billing, working capital and unbilled receivables.
Familiarity with bank guarantees, insurance, and financial risk review.
Ability to understand cross‑border tax considerations.
Strong Excel skills; SAP knowledge preferred.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Good business judgment and risk awareness.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Detail‑oriented and proactive.
Fluent in English, Malay, and Bahasa Indonesia; Chinese is a plus.

Responsibilities

Provide regional finance and commercial support for project contracts across Malaysia, Indonesia, and Singapore.
Review finance‑related contract terms and support negotiations to manage financial risk.
Act as regional finance partner for cross‑country projects and ensure consistent contract review and billing practices.
Strengthen billing discipline and reduce unbilled exposure regionally.
Support end‑to‑end contract review including payment structures, retention, and insurance considerations.
Coordinate and negotiate bank guarantees between treasury and customer.
Work with finance and tax teams on tax implications of contract terms.
Follow up on unbilled invoices and resolve billing delays with project teams.
Collaborate with country finance and project teams to improve billing cycles.
Review project costing sheets and validate commercial assumptions.
Partner with sales and project teams during bidding and project setup.
Ensure compliance with company policies and local regulations.
Support process standardization and continuous improvement in project finance practices.
Handle ad‑hoc cross‑functional initiatives.
