Travelodge Hotels - Asia seeks a Cluster Chief Engineer to lead engineering across Malaysia & Singapore. You will oversee facilities, maintenance, safety, and energy management, ensuring compliance with standards and regulations.

The role requires strategic leadership and hands-on project coordination across multiple properties. You will drive preventive maintenance, manage CAPEX programs, and develop talent within the engineering teams, while coordinating with contractors and property

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in engineering, building services, facilities management or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant engineering experience, preferably in hotels, with senior-level exposure.
• Experience in hotel operations, CAPEX, asset management, and contractor management.

Responsabilités

• Oversee engineering and maintenance operations across multiple properties to ensure safety, functionality, reliability and upkeep of facilities and systems.
• Lead and support engineering teams in preventive and corrective maintenance with clear ownership for PM completion and defect follow-up.
• Develop succession plans for engineering staff and address leadership development to strengthen internal capabilities.
• Ensure engineering standards, SOPs, inspection routines, emergency response, and operational practices are consistently applied across properties.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify defects, safety risks and operational issues with timely corrective actions.
• Manage emergency response for major breakdowns, with escalation, troubleshooting and business continuity planning.
• Coordinate safety inspections and risk assessments for engineering activities and facilities.
