Job summary

YOTEL Kuala Lumpur is seeking a hands-on Chief Engineer to lead the Engineering team within our new hotel in Malaysia's capital. You will report to the General Manager and ensure a secure, comfortable, and safe environment for guests and crew, taking a central role in the senior management team.

You will drive maintenance strategy, safety programmes and adherence to brand standards, while guiding the Engineering department with proactive service improvements and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Candidates must have managerial experience at a property level, ideally as Assistant Chief Engineer or Chief Engineer in a larger property.
• Experience leading health & safety and preventative maintenance programmes is essential.

Responsibilities

• Manage Engineering operations and develop the strategy for maintenance, asset management and safety to meet company and legal requirements.
• Promote guest and staff safety across the hotel.
• Ensure control systems for all Engineering tasks are in place and followed.
• Regularly review Engineering service levels with General Manager and hotel teams and implement improvements.
• Ensure the hotel maintains brand standards and service delivery.
