Job summary

SLP Green Tech Sdn Bhd is seeking a Business Development Executive to join a customer-focused sales and business development team. The role involves regular customer visits, market engagement, and travel across Malaysia, including the Southern region and East Malaysia.

You will review contracts, handle inquiries, follow up on payments, identify new customers, and prepare sales reports and forecasts. Strong communication and negotiation skills are essential for collaboration across departments.

Qualifications

• Experience in sales, customer service, business development or related commercial role.
• Preferably experience in the plastic packaging industry.
• Familiarity with the Southern region and East Malaysia markets is preferred.
• Strong customer relationship management, communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to prepare sales reports, forecasts and market research findings.
• Willingness to travel within Malaysia and visit customer sites as required.
• Ability to work collaboratively with sales, marketing, operations and management teams.
• Good understanding of quality and compliance requirements, including ISO 9001, ISO 22000, ISO 13485 and BRC Standards.

Responsibilities

• Visit and service customers on a regular basis.
• Review contracts and handle customer enquiries, consulting relevant departments where necessary.
• Follow up on payment collection in a timely manner.
• Identify and develop new potential customers.
• Prepare sales reports and sales forecasts.
• Take customer orders and review order delivery capability.
• Monitor compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 22000, ISO 13485 and BRC Standard requirements.
• Conduct regular market analysis, surveys and research in line with company products.
• Visit customer sites when necessary and travel outstation within Malaysia.
• Provide high-quality pre-sales and post-sales service.
• Participate in related projects prepared by top management.
• Conduct regular meetings and discussions with the sales and marketing team and top management to generate new ideas and resolve problems.
• Undertake other related duties as directed by the superior.
