Job summary

PERSOL Workforce Solutions Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking an Executive Reporting and Data Visualisation lead to develop, maintain, and govern the regional dashboard suite. You will translate senior management needs into actionable visuals and ensure consistency in metrics and presentation across markets.

You will design data models, manage data refreshes, and drive data quality improvements with regional tech teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop, deliver, and maintain the regional dashboard suite for executive, financial, operational, and recruitment reporting.
• Translate reporting requirements from senior management into structured, accurate, and decision-ready visuals.
• Establish regional dashboard design standards, metric definitions, and report presentation for consistency across markets.
• Design and maintain data models, semantic layers, and scheduled refresh across ATS, financial consolidation, HRIS, and other data sources.
• Collaborate with regional and country tech teams to improve data quality at source and reduce manual reporting.
• Provide analysis beyond standard reporting, identifying trends, variances, and drivers for senior management.
• Support annual planning and budgeting with analysis, scenario modelling, and performance tracking.
• Transform data into concise insights for the Regional Executive Leadership Team and country management.
• Prepare monthly performance packs and quarterly reviews, highlighting risks and opportunities.
• Benchmark performance across markets and teams to identify best practices and areas needing intervention.
• Respond to ad hoc analytics requests from leadership with timely, hypothesis-driven analysis.

Job description

Executive Reporting and Data Visualisation

Develop, deliver, and maintain the regional dashboard suite, encompassing executive, financial, operational, and recruitment performance reporting.

Translate reporting requirements from senior management into structured, accurate, and decision-ready visual outputs.

Establish and enforce regional standards for dashboard design, metric definition, and report presentation to ensure consistency across all markets.

Data Management and Modelling

Design and maintain data models, semantic layers, and scheduled data refresh processes across multiple source systems, including applicant tracking, financial consolidation, workforce and contractor management, human resources information systems, and manual data sources.

Liaise with regional and country technology functions to improve data quality at source and progressively reduce dependency on manual, spreadsheet-based reporting.

Define, document, and govern core performance indicators, including placements, active orders, conversion ratios, contractor headcount and hours worked, revenue, gross profit, selling and administrative expenses, operating profit, and consultant productivity.

Business Partnering and Analysis

Engage country leadership teams to understand their operating models and reporting requirements, and to drive adoption of regional reporting standards in place of locally developed alternatives.

Provide analysis beyond standard reporting, identifying performance trends, variances, and underlying drivers for the attention of senior management.

Support the annual planning and budgeting cycle through the provision of analysis, scenario modelling, and performance tracking against approved plans.

Insight Generation and Management Decision Support

Transform reported data into concise, actionable insights for the Regional Executive Leadership Team and country management, clearly articulating what has happened, why it matters, and the recommended course of action.

Prepare regular management insight packs for monthly performance reviews and quarterly business reviews, synthesising financial, operational, and recruitment performance into a coherent narrative that highlights risks, opportunities, and matters requiring management attention.

Conduct root-cause and driver analysis on material variances against plan, forecast, and prior periods (for example, gross profit margin movement, consultant productivity, and order-to-placement conversion), quantifying their impact on revenue and operating profit.

Develop leading indicators and early-warning signals, such as order intake, pipeline coverage, contractor attrition, and client concentration, to enable management to act ahead of performance deterioration.

Benchmark performance across markets, business lines, and teams to identify best practices for replication and underperforming areas requiring intervention.

Respond to ad hoc analytical requests from the CEO and senior leadership, delivering timely, hypothesis-driven analysis to inform strategic, commercial, and investment decisions.

Track the implementation and outcomes of management decisions and strategic initiatives against agreed performance indicators, reporting progress and lessons learned to close the decision loop.

Communicate insights through executive-ready formats, including briefing notes, presentation materials, and data storytelling, tailored to the audience and suitable for Executive Leadership Team and Board discussions.

Platform Administration and Governance

Administer the business intelligence platform, including workspace structure, row-level security, user access management, refresh monitoring, and licence optimisation.

Contribute to the periodic evaluation of the Group's business intelligence toolset and support any subsequent platform migration.

Ensure that data access, retention, and distribution practices comply with applicable data protection requirements and internal governance policies.

Capability Building and Enablement

Provide training, documentation, and ongoing support to enable non-technical users across markets to self-serve for routine reporting requirements.

Contribute to the development of the wider regional analytics capability, including the mentoring of junior analysts as the function expands.
