Job summary

Ha Li Fa is a major fish ball and FMCG manufacturer in Singapore and Malaysia, seeking a Refrigeration Technician to keep cold rooms and freezers running to ensure product freshness and safety.

You will perform routine maintenance, diagnose faults, replace components and maintain records. Overtime and after-hours standby may be required to prevent spoilage in a fast-paced production environment.

Qualifications

• Certificate or Diploma in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, Electrical Engineering or a related technical field
• Good understanding of refrigeration cycles, wiring diagrams and industrial cooling systems
• Experience in food manufacturing, cold storage or FMCG is a strong advantage
• Able to read, write and speak basic English for reports and records
• Physically fit, able to lift heavy equipment, climb ladders and work in cold areas
• Willing to work overtime and standby for emergency call-outs

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing and preventive maintenance on cold rooms, blast freezers, ice makers and industrial refrigeration units
• Find and fix mechanical and electrical faults quickly to keep production running
• Repair and replace parts such as compressors, condensers, expansion valves and control sensors
• Handle refrigerant work: top-up, vacuuming, leak testing, pressure checks, reclaiming and charging, following environmental standards
• Install new components and upgrade old equipment to improve cooling performance
• Respond to breakdowns and be on standby for urgent after-hours repairs to prevent product spoilage
• Keep clear records of repairs, service schedules and spare parts stock
• Follow all safety procedures, keep tools in good condition and report hazards immediately
• Take on other duties assigned by Management

What You Will Do
