Carrier is seeking an HVAC technician to maintain, service and repair Carrier HVAC systems across Malaysia and Asia, including collaboration with subcontractors on site and in workshop settings.

The role demands knowledge of electrical and mechanical components, ability to troubleshoot and repair, and readiness for standby calls and diverse environments. A valid Class 3 license and relevant HVAC qualifications are required.

Qualifikationen

• Experience with testing, commissioning and site work is beneficial.

Aufgaben

• Maintain, service and repair Carrier HVAC equipment in workshops and sites across Malaysia and Asia.
• Supervise subcontractors for hose connections and electrical terminations at project sites.
• Test and commission HVAC equipment across projects in Singapore as needed.
• Identify and replace spare parts; maintain inventory records and fleet inventory.
• Ensure PPE use and safe operation in varied environments; lift up to 20 kg when required.

Role Responsibilities

• Maintain, service, troubleshooting, repair and clean Carrier owned HVAC equipment and related products in the workshop and various sites throughout Malaysia and across Asia when required. This includes air-cooled and water-cooled systems from 10 RT to 600 RT; various sizes of air conditioners, pumps, air handlers, spot coolers.
• Supervision of subcontractors for hose connection and electrical termination works at project sites.
• In charge of testing and commissioning of HVAC equipment for various projects across Singapore.
• Able to repair pump end for small and large pumps systems.
• Knowledge in both electrical and mechanical components.
• Standby for emergency call up or breakdown of equipment.
• Ensure that all equipment are in good and presentable condition.
• Maintain accurate records for delivery orders and service reports.
• Maintain proper inventory counts for all equipment and accessories.
• Use power tools, hand tools, and other mechanical equipment.
• Identify the spare parts required, requesting and receiving of spares.
• Ensure accuracy of fleet inventory within warehouse.
• Communicate in a professional manner with co-employees, subcontractors, and customers.
• Perform other duties as needed, including general maintenance, cleaning, lifting, organizing, and general inventory counts.
• Able to work independently and complete tasks with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to lift and manipulate objects of up to 20kg occasionally.
• Ensure all PPE is worn appropriately as work is performed in a variety of environmental conditions with exposure to outdoor temperature variations, noise, vibrations, gas or fumes, grease, cleaning solvents, degreasing agents, machinery and its moving parts, odors, and dust particles.

Minimum Requirements

• Nitec, Diploma or Equivalent in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
• Considered HVAC technical certification or HVAC associate degree preferred.
• Proficiency in servicing, troubleshooting, repair and cleaning HVAC equipment and related products.
• SIC for Construction, Shipyard, Process Plant an advantage.
• Training or experience in EHS & Risk Assessment an advantage.
• Possess a valid class 3 driver’s license.
