Job summary

OCBC Malaysia is seeking an experienced reconciliation team lead to supervise daily operations, ensuring timely completion and strong control. You will plan workloads, monitor ageing items, and coordinate resolution withBusiness Units and stakeholders.

The role requires leadership, banking domain knowledge, and the ability to drive process improvements while coaching team members. This is a growth-focused, on-site role in Kuala Lumpur.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accountancy/Finance or ACCA; audit experience preferred.
• Knowledge of banking products; 10+ years in banking adds advantage.
• Proficient in MS Excel and MS Office applications.
• Experience supervising or leading a team in banking operations or reconciliation.
• Strong leadership, planning, problem-solving, stakeholder management and people development skills.
• Willing to work during Malaysia public holidays; not SG holidays.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise daily reconciliation operations to meet BAU SLI turnaround times.
• Plan and allocate daily work, monitor outstanding items and ensure coverage.
• Review results, ageing items and exceptions; follow-up to closure.
• Escalate operational issues; coordinate with Business Units and stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with procedures and controls; support audits.
• Provide coaching and on-the-job training to team members.
• Monitor performance and drive process improvements and automation.
• Coordinate projects, system enhancements, testing, post-conversion activities.
• Provide regular updates to management on status, risks, incidents and progress.
• Support ad-hoc / admin tasks.
