Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a detail-oriented specialist to ensure the accuracy and integrity of payment transactions through daily reconciliations across multiple markets. You will investigate discrepancies and support seamless payment operations in a fast-paced fintech environment.

Experience in reconciliation, payment and settlement operations is essential, with exposure to cross-border payments and collaboration with banking partners to ensure timely settlements.

Qualifications

• Experience in reconciliation, payment and settlement operations.
• Background in fintech, PSP, digital bank or financial institution.
• Hands-on in transaction reconciliation, fund transfers or cash movements.
• Strong analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily reconciliation of payment transactions, client funds, settlements and cash movements across multiple channels.
• Monitor transaction flows and investigate reconciliation breaks or exceptions.
• Resolve discrepancies by working with internal teams, banking partners and payment providers.
• Support domestic and cross-border payment operations to ensure timely settlement.
• Prepare reconciliation reports and maintain accurate operational records.
• Identify process gaps and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and controls.
• Ensure all activities comply with policies, regulatory requirements and SLAs.
• Support operational projects to improve payment and reconciliation processes.

In this role, you'll play a critical part in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of payment transactions by performing daily reconciliations, investigating discrepancies, and supporting seamless payment operations across multiple markets.

What You'll Do

• Perform daily reconciliation of payment transactions, client funds, settlements, and cash movements across multiple payment channels.
• Monitor transaction flows and investigate reconciliation breaks or exceptions.
• Resolve discrepancies by working closely with internal teams, banking partners, and payment providers.
• Support domestic and cross-border payment operations to ensure timely and accurate settlement.
• Prepare reconciliation reports and maintain accurate operational records.
• Identify process gaps and recommend improvements to enhance operational efficiency and controls.
• Ensure all operational activities comply with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and service level agreements.
• Support operational projects and initiatives to improve payment and reconciliation processes.

What We're Looking For

• Experience in Reconciliation Operations, Payment Operations, Settlement Operations, Transaction Operations, or related financial operations.
• Background in a fintech, payment company, digital wallet, acquiring business, payment gateway, bank, or financial institution.
• Hands-on experience with one or more of the following:
• Transaction reconciliation
• Fund transfers
• Cash movements
• Settlement operations
• Cross-border payment operations
• Payment investigations
• Strong analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to identify, investigate, and resolve transaction discrepancies independently.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume operational environment.
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Candidates who are immediately available or have a notice period of less than 30 days are strongly preferred.
