Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Payment Operations Specialist to support daily payment activities, monitor transactions, and ensure accurate processing. The role requires flexibility to work across three shifts with varying work arrangements.

The candidate should have a Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or related fields, with experience in payment operations or fintech being advantageous.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, Operations or related field preferred.
• Experience in payment operations, fintech, e-commerce is an advantage.
• Good understanding of payment processing and reconciliation.
• Willing to work rotating three-shift schedule including weekends/public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage daily payment transactions and processing activities.
• Verify transaction records and perform regular payment reconciliation.
• Monitor payment channels and follow up on failed, pending, or abnormal transactions.
• Investigate payment discrepancies and assist with timely issue resolution.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external payment partners on payment-related matters.
• Maintain accurate payment records, reports, and operational documentation.
• Monitor payment performance and identify recurring operational issues.
• Assist with payment channel testing, maintenance, and improvements.
• Follow internal procedures, controls, and applicable requirements.
• Support the improvement of payment processes and operational workflows.
• Escalate critical issues to the appropriate team or management.

We are looking for a Payment Operations Specialist to support daily payment operations, monitor transactions, and ensure payment processes are completed accurately and efficiently. This is a three-shift role with different work arrangements depending on the shift.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage daily payment transactions and processing activities.
• Verify transaction records and perform regular payment reconciliation.
• Monitor payment channels and follow up on failed, pending, or abnormal transactions.
• Investigate payment discrepancies and assist with timely issue resolution.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external payment partners on payment-related matters.
• Maintain accurate payment records, reports, and operational documentation.
• Monitor payment performance and identify recurring operational issues.
• Assist with payment channel testing, maintenance, and operational improvements.
• Follow internal procedures, controls, and applicable operational requirements.
• Support the improvement of payment processes and operational workflows.
• Escalate critical issues or unusual transactions to the relevant team or management.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Working Arrangement

• Morning Shift: Work from Office (WFO)
• Night Shift: Work from Home (WFH) + Daily Allowance
• Midnight Shift: Work from Home (WFH) + Daily Allowance
• Rotating three-shift schedule based on operational requirements.
• Weekend and public holiday shifts may be required.

About You

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, Operations, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience in payment operations, fintech, e-commerce, or a related industry is an advantage.
• Good understanding of payment processing and reconciliation.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Able to work independently and effectively in both office and remote working environments.
• Willing to work on a rotating three-shift schedule, including weekends and public holidays when required.
• Proactive, responsible, and well-organized.
• Comfortable using Excel, spreadsheets, and operational systems.
• Experience with payment gateways, e-wallets, banking platforms, or payment service providers is an advantage.
