Job summary

KPJ Healthcare Berhad is seeking a Radiographer for its Diagnostic Imaging Services in Malaysia. The role covers X-ray, CT, MRI, and other imaging modalities, with emphasis on safety, precision, and patient-centered care.

The successful candidate will perform imaging procedures, educate patients, ensure image quality, maintain equipment, and document results in PACS/RIS/EMR systems while upholding infection control and safety standards.

Qualifications

  • Diploma orBachelor’s Degree in MedicalImaging/Radiography Field.
  • Registered under Act 304 and Allied Health Professions Act 774.
  • Radiographer: Fresh graduates accepted; 1 year experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic imaging procedures (X-ray, CT, MRI, Fluoroscopy, Mammography, Trauma Imaging, Mobile X-ray) according to established protocols and clinician/radiologist requests.
  • Apply radiation protection principles in accordance with Act 304, BSRP 2010, ALARA, and departmental safety protocols to protect patients, staff, and self.
  • Prepare and educate patients by explaining procedures, ensuring comfort, obtaining relevant history, assessing safety risks, and providing compassionate care throughout the imaging process.
  • Ensure accurate patient positioning and acquisition of high-quality images, verifying diagnostic acceptability before submission to radiologists.
  • Operate and maintain imaging equipment, performing daily checks, proper handling, minor troubleshooting, and escalating technical issues to Biomedical Engineering or vendors.
  • Maintain infection control standards across imaging rooms, equipment, accessories, and patient contact surfaces in line with hospital IPC policies.
  • Support service workflow by coordinating patient scheduling, assisting radiologists during contrast studies or specialized procedures, and ensuring efficient patient movement.
  • Update imaging documentation and records in PACS/RIS/EMR systems, ensuring accuracy in patient data, imaging parameters, and departmental statistics.
  • Report any clinical, operational, or safety-related incidents within a stipulated time to the Head Diagnostic Imaging Services, ensuring proper documentation, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective measures.
  • Provide guidance to junior radiographers and students by demonstrating proper techniques, professional conduct, and adherence to safety and clinical protocols.

RADIOGRAPHER, DIAGNOSTIC IMAGING SERVICES

The Radiographer performs high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures and provides patient-centredcare across various modalities within the Diagnostic Imaging Services. The role includes ensuring radiation safety,maintainingequipment functionality, supporting workflow coordination, andparticipatingin departmental quality and safety initiatives.

2) JOB DESCRIPTION
MainResponsibilities

Perform diagnostic imaging procedures (X-ray, CT, MRI, Fluoroscopy, Mammography, Trauma Imaging, Mobile X-ray) according to established protocols and clinician/radiologist requests.

Education:

Digital Imaging & PACS: Skilled in Picture Archiving and Communication Systems for storing and retrieving images.

Anatomy & Physiology Knowledge: Essential foraccuratepositioning and image interpretation.

Radiation Safety: Applies protective measures to minimize exposure to patients and staff.

Image Analysis: Ability to assess image quality andidentifyabnormalities.

Personal attributes

Willingness to work rotating shifts, weekends, oron-call.
