Job summary

WAN YEEN TRADING SDN. BHD. is looking for an experienced Research and Development Manager to lead the end-to-end product development lifecycle across food, dietary supplements, and herbal products.

You will shape the strategy and oversee cross-functional teams to deliver innovative, compliant products. The role requires 5+ years in R&D with leadership experience, strong regulatory knowledge, and a track record of managing complex projects in a GMP/HACCP/ISO environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in R&D with at least 1 year in leadership or managerial role.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Food Science / Food Technology / Biotechnology / Biochemistry or related field.
• Strong knowledge of relevant regulations and standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the full product development lifecycle across multiple categories from concept to commercialization.
• Define and refine strategic R&D priorities in line with company vision and market trends.
• Drive innovation roadmap planning by identifying opportunities and building robust product pipelines.
• Integrate consumer insights, scientific research and regulatory intelligence into development strategies.
• Ensure GMP/HACCP/HALAL/ISO compliance and oversee documentation.
• Collaborate with Regulatory Affairs on product registrations and regulatory queries.
