JDA WMS Pte Ltd, based in Malaysia, seeks an experienced R&D Manager to lead the R&D department and drive new product development from concept to commercialization. You will oversee formulation, shelf-life studies, and technical documentation while ensuring regulatory compliance.

Collaborating with Marketing, Production, QA/QC, Procurement, and Sales, you will steer innovation, product renovation, and optimization initiatives to deliver high-quality food products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor level degree in a related food science field.
• Proven experience leading R&D or NPD projects in the food industry.
• Strong knowledge of food formulation, shelf-life, and regulatory requirements.
• Experience preparing Technical Data Sheets (TDS) and product documentation.
• Excellent project management and cross-functional collaboration skills.

We are looking for an experienced R&D Manager to lead the R&D department and manage new product development (NPD) projects from concept to commercialization. The role drives innovation, product renovation, and formulation optimization while ensuring technical and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the R&D team, setting priorities and ensuring timely project delivery
• Manage NPD projects end to end, from concept and feasibility through to commercialization
• Oversee product formulation, shelf-life studies, and trial production
• Prepare and approve Technical Data Sheets (TDS) and related product documentation
• Drive new product innovation, product renovation, and formulation optimization initiatives
• Ensure all products comply with applicable food processing regulations and quality standards
• Collaborate with Marketing, Production, QA/QC, Procurement, and Sales to ensure smooth scale-up and launch

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Food Technology, Food Science and Nutrition, Culinary Arts, Chemistry, Biology, or a related discipline
• Proven experience in R&D or NPD within the food industry, including team leadership
• Strong technical knowledge of food technology, product formulation, food analysis, fat chemistry, and food processing regulations
• Hands-on experience with shelf-life studies, trial production, and TDS preparation
• Strong project management, problem-solving, and communication skills
