Job summary

White Heron Pharmaceutical Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is hiring a Research & Development Executive (Nutraceutical Formulation) to drive new product development across tablets, softgels, capsules, granules, teas and liquids, from concept to pilot and small-scale commercial runs.

You will work with GMP/HACCP/HALAL/ISO standards, manage ingredient sourcing, and optimize cost and quality while collaborating with a diverse team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree / Master’s Degree in Food Science/Technology/Nutrition
• Experience in formulation development of nutraceutical, pharmaceutical, functional food or health supplement products.
• Experience in commercial manufacturing & scale up.
• Your experience in Pharmaceutical formulation, especially with tablets and softgels
• Production scale manufacturing experience with commercial awareness and cost optimization knowledge
• Your understanding and experience with GMP, HACCP, HALAL, and ISO standards
• Multilingual abilities in Mandarin, English, and Bahasa Malaysia (proficiency in Mandarin being essential for traditional medicine formulation work)

Responsibilities

• New product development from conceptual design, ingredient sourcing, formulation, lab scale trial run, pilot run and supporting commercial runs of products in the forms of tablets, capsules, granules, tea, liquid etc.
• Develop new product from conceptual design, ingredient sourcing, formulation lab scale trial run, pilot run & supporting commercial runs across multiple delivery system.
• Improvisation on existing products and process flows to enhance performance quality, stability & cost efficiency.
• Responsible for raw material assessment (new source supplier/new sample approached)
• Sourcing for alternate suppliers if required
• Provide technical write ups and prepare flow charts
• Any other job assignments required by the immediate superior from time to time.
