Job summary

ACE LUBRICANTS & CHEMICALS SDN. BHD is seeking an experienced R&D Manager to lead quality control operations and drive product innovation in our Kulai, Johor facility.

This dual role combines hands-on laboratory work with leadership to ensure product excellence in sealants and adhesives. You will formulate new products, improve existing formulations, evaluate raw materials, and mentor a team of specialists while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, high‑quality

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemistry or chemical engineering is required.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in an R&D role, preferably chemicals or lubricants.
• Proven track record of leading R&D projects.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
• Ability to manage and motivate a team of specialists.
• Proficiency in using QC and analytical software/equipment.

Responsibilities

• Formulate new products including sealants and adhesives from concept to production-readiness.
• Improve existing formulations in terms of cost-efficiency and performance.
