We are seeking an R&D Executive to join Goodmaid Chemicals Corporation Sdn Bhd in Senawang, Negeri Sembilan. This is a full-time position that offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development and innovation of chemical products and processes. As an R&D Executive, you will play a vital role in driving our research and development initiatives, supporting our commitment to delivering high-quality chemical solutions to our customers. This position is based on-site in Senawang and offers the chance to work with cutting-edge technologies and contribute meaningfully to our product development strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, quality assurance, and commercial departments to support product development initiatives.
• Perform analytical testing and quality control checks on chemical compounds and finished products
• Assist in scaling up laboratory formulations for pilot and production trials
• Contribute to the development of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and technical documentation
• Maintain accurate records of all experimental data and maintain compliance with laboratory safety protocols
• Support product compliance with relevant quality, safety, regulatory, ISO9001, GMP, HACCP and Halal requirements.
• Support process optimisation efforts to improve efficiency and reduce costs
• Participate in troubleshooting and problem-solving activities related to product quality and process challenges
• Stay updated with industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in chemical research and development

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific discipline
• Proven experience in laboratory research and development, preferably in the chemical or manufacturing industry
• Strong knowledge of chemical formulation, analysis techniques, detergent formulation and surfactant systems.
• Good knowledge of surfactants, builders, polymers, enzymes, solvents, preservatives, fragrances and other functional ingredients.
• Proficiency in using laboratory instrumentation and analytical tools
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to accurately document and analyse experimental data
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think innovatively about product development challenges
• Good communication skills with the ability to work effectively within team environments
• Familiarity with safety protocols and compliance requirements in chemical laboratories
• Ability to follow instructions and manage multiple tasks efficiently in a structured environment
• Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations is advantageous
