Job summary

IRCare Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking fresh graduates and junior engineers to join our R&D team. You will work on mechanical design, prototyping, testing and product development from concept to production.

You will gain hands-on experience in mechanical design, evaluation, documentation and cross-disciplinary collaboration with electronics engineers and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Product Design Engineering or related field.
• Fresh graduates and candidates with 1–2 years of relevant experience are encouraged to apply.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical design principles, engineering materials and manufacturing processes.
• Familiarity with 2D/3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor or equivalent.
• Exposure to product design, prototyping, mechanical assembly or testing would be an advantage.
• Basic understanding of manufacturing processes such as machining, sheet metal fabrication, injection moulding or 3D printing would be an added advantage.
• Good analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Hands-on, proactive and willing to learn new technologies.
• Able to work independently and collaborate with a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing, developing and improving mechanical components, assemblies and product structures.
• Prepare and modify 2D technical drawings and 3D CAD models using engineering design software.
• Support material selection, component specifications and mechanical design evaluations.
• Research and explore new technologies, materials and design solutions for product improvements.
• Participate in product prototyping, assembly, testing and validation.
• Conduct mechanical testing and assist in identifying and troubleshooting technical issues.
• Support the integration of mechanical components with electrical and electronic systems.
• Assist in improving product functionality, durability, reliability and performance.
• Support the transition of product designs from prototype to production.
• Work closely with Electronics Engineers and other R&D team members on product development.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials (BOM) and test reports.
• Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers on component fabrication, prototyping and technical requirements.
• Support day-to-day R&D activities and continuous product improvement initiatives.

Key Responsabilities

Mechanical Design & Development
