Job summary

Talent Trader Group Pte Ltd is seeking a Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineer to contribute engineering leadership within the Hardware and Design team in Bayan Lepas, Penang, Malaysia. You will identify requirements, lead mechanical design activities, and collaborate with suppliers to develop robotic prototypes.

The role involves prototype testing, troubleshooting, and hands-on research to create innovative solutions, with a focus on documentation and Inter-team support.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering or related discipline.
• Familiarity with ISO drawing standards and GD&T, or willingness to learn.

Job description

Contribute technical expertise and provide engineering leadership within the Hardware and Design team.

Identify hardware and mechanical component requirements for existing and new products.

Lead mechanical design activities and collaborate with external partners, suppliers, and internal team members to develop and build robotic system prototypes.

Conduct prototype testing, troubleshooting, and qualification to verify functionality and performance.

Perform hands-on engineering work and carry out research to develop innovative solutions to practical technical challenges.

Manage relationships with key external suppliers and vendors.

Provide technical guidance and support to other internal teams.

Prepare technical documentation for internal use and external customers.

Requirements

Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related discipline.

Proficient in SolidWorks or other CAD software.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Familiarity with ISO drawing standards and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), or willingness to learn.
