Sunway Construction Malaysia is seeking a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor with CSA and MEP exposure across Klang Valley, Ipoh, and Johor. The role involves cost control, variation handling, and subcontract payments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 2–3 years of experience in a Quantity Surveying role.

Responsibilities

• Advise and assist on compliance with contractual requirements - including EOT Variation Progress Claims and Subcontracts payments.
• Re-measuring quantities in original and variation works (including Material-On-Site) for verification of progress claims, final accounts and subcontracts payments.
• Assist and implement computerization and standardization of contracts administration procedure and cost control measures.
• Budget preparation, solicitation, evaluation, negotiation and award of subcontractors.
• Prepare procurement schedule for subcontractor / supplier & prepare BQ and procurement document for quotation.
• Prepare progress payment to subcontractor / progress claim to client / VOs for client and subcontractor / final account with client and subcontractor.
• Advise Project Manager on possibilities of claim / Initiate claim in conjunction with contracts services.
• Initiate and follow through with insurance claims / Ensure all bonds, guarantees, insurance, warranties and other documents as required by the Contracts are in order.
• Submit budget for adoption / Revise project budget when necessary / Analyze actual cost against budget.
• Ensure all Purchase Orders are properly executed in line with Company Policy & Procedure / Identify potential or new suppliers.
