Job summary

Threno Sdn Bhd is an established interior fit-out and main contracting company seeking a dedicated Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Selangor. You will handle pre- and post-contract administration for construction and interior fit-out projects.

You will prepare quotations, tender submissions, contracts and subcontract agreements, and manage progress claims, VO, EOT and final accounts while monitoring project costs and commercial performance.

Qualifications

• Diploma/degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Contract Management or related field.
• Preferably 2–5 years of relevant experience in construction, interior fit-out or main contracting.
• Candidates with experience in commercial fit-out projects will have an advantage.
• Good knowledge of construction contracts, variation claims, progress claims and final accounts.
• Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Handle pre-contract and post-contract administration for construction and interior fit-out projects.
• Prepare and review quotations, tender submissions, contracts and subcontract agreements.
• Manage and prepare Progress Claims, Variation Orders (VO), Extension of Time (EOT) and Final Accounts.
• Monitor project costs, contract values and overall commercial performance.
• Prepare cost comparisons, subcontractor quotations and commercial evaluations.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, main contractors, subcontractors and suppliers on contractual matters.
• Review contract terms, identify potential contractual risks and highlight commercial issues to management.
• Manage and maintain proper documentation for contracts, claims, VO and project correspondence.
• Assist in negotiation with clients, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Ensure project claims and supporting documents are submitted accurately and on time.
• Work closely with the Project Manager and site team to identify cost variations, additional works and potentail commercial risks.
• Assist management in project cost control and commercial decision-making.
