Job summary

HLH BUILDING AND CONSTRUCTION SDN BHD is seeking a competent Quantity Surveyor to support project costing, procurement, and cost control for construction and interior fit-out projects.

You will prepare quantity take-offs, assist in budgets, evaluate subcontractor claims, and help with monthly cost reporting, reporting to senior team members.

Fresh graduates are welcome; 1–3 years’ experience preferred; ability to read drawings and work independently with guidance.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Fresh graduates with strong interest in construction commercial management are welcome to apply.
• Experience in construction or interior fit-out will be an advantage.
• Able to read construction drawings and perform quantity take-offs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare quantity take-offs and cost estimates.
• Assist in preparation of project budgets and cost plans.
• Obtain and compare supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Prepare subcontractor comparison sheets and recommendations.
• Prepare progress claims and variation claims.
• Evaluate subcontractor claims.
• Track project committed and actual costs.
• Maintain project commercial documentation and records.
• Assist with monthly project cost reporting.
• Follow up variation orders and additional works with project teams.
