Job summary

Southrise Sdn Bhd is seeking a skilled Cost Estimator in Malaysia to prepare budgets, tender documents, and cost-control strategies for construction projects. You will conduct feasibility studies, analyze costs, and collaborate with engineers to optimize project expenditures.

The role requires strong analytical and numerical abilities, experience with CostX/AutoCAD/Bluebeam, and the capacity to manage multiple projects with effective negotiation and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in cost estimation and contract management in construction.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills.
• Proficiency in cost software CostX, AutoCAD, Bluebeam.
• Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and tender documents for construction projects.
• Conduct feasibility studies and risk analysis related to project costs.
• Monitor project expenditures and provide cost control strategies.
• Evaluate contractor claims and variations, ensuring fair pricing and compliance with contracts.
• Conduct site visits to assess work progress and ensure cost efficiency.
• Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Prepare and analyze project financial reports, forecasts, and valuations.
• Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements in cost management.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and stakeholders to optimize costs.
