Job summary

Randstad Malaysia is seeking a Quantity Surveyor / Contract Manager (Industrial) to lead end-to-end commercial management for major industrial projects, including warehouses and data centres. Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.
• Experience in commercial management within industrial construction, ideally with a main contractor.
• Solid understanding of civil, structural, and architectural building systems and standard contract terms.
• Proficiency in estimation and design software, including AutoCAD and QS software.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills to manage vendor relationships and site stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end commercial management and procurement activities for major industrial projects.
• Conduct accurate quantity take-offs, cost estimations, and valuation assessments for civil, structural, and architectural scopes.
• Analyze tender specifications, drawings, and contract documentation to identify scope gaps and manage cost risks.
• Source, evaluate, and negotiate sub-contractor proposals to secure competitive pricing and robust procurement strategies.
• Prepare, process, and track progress claims, variation orders, and final accounts to ensure cost control.
• Collaborate with project management, site engineers, and external vendors to maintain budget alignment throughout execution.
