Job summary

Vestland Resources Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a diligent Quantity Surveyor / Tender Executive to support our earthworks, infrastructure and building projects. You will be responsible for taking-off quantities, preparing tender costing, and ensuring accurate budgeting ahead of submission.

You will collaborate with project managers, review drawings, source prices for equipment and materials, and maintain site records. Travel to various sites is required with 2–3 years of QS experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in QS or tendering.
• Able to prepare taking-off quantities and tender costing.
• Familiar with drawings and able to interpret BOM.

Responsibilities

• Prepare taking-off quantity and tender costing.
• Support project negotiation.
• Finalize the Bill of Quantities (BQ) 4 to 5 days before closing.
• Handle price sourcing and negotiate equipment and materials for tenders.
• Support project team regarding materials, specifications, and requirements.
• Submit the whole tender to Board one day before submission.
• Familiar with drawings and interpret BOM.
• Collaborate with project managers, construction crews, and government agencies.
• Maintain accuracy of work at project sites.
• Review construction plans and prepare quantity requirements.
• Advise managers and clients on improvements and new strategies.
• Keep track of materials and ordering.
• Q.S to visit site twice a month (14th & 30th).
• Variation Claim (VC) must be submitted within 14 days of instruction.
• Document changes in design and update budgets.
• Travel from office to various sites as required.

• Finalize the Bill of Quantities (BQ) 4 to 5 days before closing
• To handle price sourcing and negotiate all require equipment and material required in a tender or on-going project
• To support project team pertaining to the project material, specification, and requirement
• Submit the whole tender to Board one (1) day before submission
• Familiar with drawings and able to interpret into Board of Meeting (BOM)
• Collaborate and work with project managers, construction crews, and government agencies, when necessary
• Maintain the accuracy of work done at project sites
• Reviewing construction plans and preparing quantity requirements
• Advising managers and clients on improvements and new strategies
• Keeping track of materials and ordering more when required
• Q.S to visit site twice (14th & 30th) a month
• Variation Claim (VC) must be submitted within 14 days upon receiving instructions
