Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to support civil and building projects in Malaysia. The role involves quantity take-off, supporting submissions to clients/consultants, and ensuring timely payments certificates and variation orders.

You will evaluate project progress claims, prepare cost estimates, and coordinate purchase requisitions with procurement for POs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree in QS/Building or related field.
• Minimum 1–2 years of working experience in civil and structure/building construction field or related field.
• Good communication skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Taking off quantity, controlling and monitoring accessories/materials needed for the project.
• Assists on submission of sample to client / consultants.
• To ensure the payment certificates and variation orders are issued in a timely manner.
• Evaluate and prepare the project progress claims and verify the sub-contractor's monthly claims.
• Prepare cost estimates for projects.
• To raise purchase requisition and liaise with procurement department for issuance of PO.
• To perform ad-hoc tasks as assigned by superior from time to time.
• Handle tender documentation and contract administration.
• Liaise with contractors, suppliers and clients.
