Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Junior Quantity Surveyor to join our construction team. The role focuses on cost management, tender preparation, and cost analysis for Mechanical and Electrical projects.

You will assist in subcontractor management and maintain project documentation while engaging with clients to update project status. The ideal candidate holds a Diploma in Quantity Surveying and has 1-2 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Quantity Surveying or related field is required.
• 1-2 years of relevant experience in quantity surveying or related role.
• Experience mainly focusing on Mechanical and Electrical projects.

Responsibilities

• Assist in cost management including preparing bills of quantities, costing, and tender documents.
• Aid tender preparation and submission ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Conduct cost analysis for ongoing and completed projects and provide reports.
• Assist in the appointment and management of subcontractors to meet standards.
• Maintain project documentation and progress reports, including final accounts.
• Perform regular site visits to monitor progress, budgets and timelines.
• Communicate with clients to understand requirements and provide updates.

What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities):

Assist in Cost Management: Support the preparation of bill of quantities, costing, and tender documents.

Tender Process: Help in the preparation and submission of tenders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with requirements.

Cost Analysis: Conduct cost analysis for ongoing and completed projects, providing detailed reports.

Subcontractor Management: Assist in the appointment and management of subcontractors, ensuring all work is completed to the required standards.

Project Documentation: Maintain accurate project documentation and records, including progress reports and final accounts.

Site Visits: Conduct regular site visits to monitor project progress and ensure adherence to budget and timelines.

Client Interaction: Communicate with clients to understand their requirements and provide updates on project status.

What We’re Looking For (Job Requirements):

Education: At least a Diploma in Quantity Surveying or a related field.

Experience: 1-2 years of relevant experience in quantity surveying or a related role.

Mainly focus on Mechanical and Electrical related projects.
