Job summary

Paragon Globe Berhad seeks a qualified Quantity Surveyor to review progress claims from main contractors and sub-contractors, and to coordinate quotations before contract awards. The role involves liaising with project and contracts managers on monthly cost reports and attending meetings with consultants and contractors to address costings and invoicing.

You will assist in monitoring cost plans, project budgets, and cash flow, and review contracts and tender documents.

Qualifications

• Candidate must possess at least Diploma/Degree in Quantity Survey or equivalent.
• Minimum five (5) years of working experience in the Construction Industry.
• Basic knowledge of construction contracts.

Responsibilities

• Check and review progress claims from main contractor and sub-contractors.
• Call for quotations, review and evaluate before awarding of contracts.
• Liaise with Project Manager/Contracts Manager pertaining to monthly cost report.
• Attend meetings with Consultant, Main Contractor, Sub-Contractor pertaining to contracts, costings and invoicing and billing works.
• To assist to monitor the execution of cost plan and project budget.
• To assist to manage the cash flow, review, update and project cash flow and to give a timely warning in case of any big influence.
• To assist to review main contract, sub-contract, tender documents and agreements.
• Any other task assigned by the management or superior.

Check and review progress claims from main contractor and sub-contractors.

Call for quotations, review and evaluate before awarding of contracts.

Liaise and work with Project Manager/Contracts Manager pertaining to monthly cost report.

Attend meetings with Consultant, Main Contractor, Sub-Contractor pertaining to contracts matter, costings and invoicing and billing works.

To liaise with the respective Consultant, Main Contractor, Sub-Contractor as well as relevant departments to settle issues arising in execution of the main contractor and subcontract to ensure subcontract works to move on schedule.

To coordinate with relevant department to check and evaluate Consultants, Main-Contractors and Sub-Contractors work done, payment claims and tax invoices in accordance with the contract.

To assist to monitor the execution of cost plan and project budget.

To assist to manage the cash flow, review, update and project cash flow and to give a timely warning in case of any big influence.

To assist to review main contract, sub-contract, tender documents and agreements.

Any other task assigned by the management or superior.

Key Requirements: -

• Candidate must possess at least Diploma/Degree in Quantity Survey or equivalent.
• Minimum five (5) year or working experience in Construction Industry.
• Competent in writing and communicating in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Organizational skills, ability to multi-tasking and able to work independently.
• Basic know of construction contract.
• Candidate with high rise working experience will be an added advantage.
