Ukay Builders Sdn Bhd is seeking a qualified Quantity Surveyor to manage pre- and post-contract activities, prepare cost estimates, and coordinate with site teams and suppliers. The role involves evaluating tenders, claims, final accounts and monthly financial reporting to ensure contract compliance and value delivery.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years’ experience with contractors or consultants, strong negotiation and interpersonal skills, and willingness to travel outstation.

Qualifikationen

• Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree, Post graduate Diploma, professional Degree, Quantity Survey or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of working experience with contractor / consultant.
• Possess high integrity, matured with strong negotiation and interpersonal skill.
• Able to work under pressure to meet tight deadline.
• Independent and resourceful.
• Application must willing to travel outstation.

Aufgaben

• Evaluate and prepare pre-contract cost estimates for tender drawings and documents.
• Attend tender interviews and assist management in tender presentations.
• Prepare technical contract documents and interpret tender specifications and drawings.
• Coordinate with site team and suppliers for materials requisition, machinery and equipment.
• Perform quantity take-offs as required.
• Familiar with post-contract administration works.
• Prepare claims, variation orders, final accounts and subcontractor payments.
• Solicit quotations from suppliers and subcontractors for price analysis.
• Shortlist and recommend subcontractors for awards.
• Measure quantities and take-offs.
• Check and review subcontractor claims for accuracy and compliance.
• Provide advice on contractual claims and analyse project outputs for progress reporting.
• Prepare final accounts upon work completion and highlight commercial issues to the project department.
• Prepare monthly reports, project budgets and cash flow projections.

e) Able to calculate cost of construction for project tendering’s (Pre-Contract) based on the tender drawings and document

f) Attend tender interviews and assist the management in tender presentations

g) Knowledge to prepare technical contract documents and able to understand the tender specification and drawing

h) Administer and coordinate with site team and supplier for materials requisition, machineries and any other equipment.

i) Perform quantity take off as and when required

Post-Contract

a) Familiar with post-contract administration works

b) Prepare claims, Variation Orders, Final Account, settlement and sub-contractor payments

c) Calling and Obtaining quotation from suppliers and sub-contractors for price analyse

d) Shortlisted and recommendation for awarding of sub-contractors

e) Measuring quantities/taking off

f) Check and review sub-contractor claim

g) To ensure that all relevant claim documents submitted are fully substantiated, accurate and in accordance with the contract terms and procedures

h) Provide advice on contractual claims

i) Analyse project output and write detailed progress report

j) Prepare final account upon work completed.

k) To highlight to the project department on any commercial and contractual issues and resolve the issue

l) Prepare monthly report, project budget and cash flow projection

m) Perform any other ad-hoc duties assigned by superior.
