Job summary

VIZ 4 INTERIOR DESIGN & BUILD SDN BHD is seeking a professional to prepare detailed cost estimates, quotations and BOQ for interior design and renovation projects. You will review drawings, conduct site measurements and verify quantities on site, ensuring accurate cost planning and project viability.

The role involves coordinating with designers, managers and subcontractors, sourcing quotations, evaluating VO and managing overall project costs and profitability.

Qualifications

• Experience in cost estimation for interior design and renovation projects
• Ability to review architectural and interior drawings to determine quantities and material needs
• Conduct site measurements and verify quantities on site

Responsibilities

• Prepare material take-offs for carpentry, ceiling, partition, flooring, painting, electrical, plumbing and other interior works
• Source and obtain quotations from suppliers and subcontractors
• Compare quotations and negotiate prices to achieve competitive project costs
• Monitor project costs, budgets and overall profitability
• Prepare and evaluate Variation Orders (VO) for additional or omitted works
• Prepare progress claims, payment certificates and final accounts
• Assist in tender preparation, tender evaluation and subcontractor selection
• Coordinate with Interior Designers, Project Managers, Site Supervisors, suppliers and subcontractors
• Maintain proper documentation for quotations, contracts, purchase orders, claims and project costing
• Ensure all project costs are accurately recorded and updated throughout the project

Job description

Prepare detailed cost estimates, quotations and Bills of Quantities (BOQ) for interior design and renovation projects. Review architectural, interior design and construction drawings to determine project quantities and material requirements. Conduct site measurements and verify actual quantities on site.
