Job summary

Supermicro is seeking a Quality & IMS professional to support the implementation, maintenance, and continual improvement of the Integrated Management System (IMS) across Quality, Environmental, and related areas. You will plan and conduct internal audits, track corrective actions, and develop IMS documentation.

You will monitor KPIs, collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality, environmental, and compliance issues, and assist in outgoing audits with customers and regulators.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Environmental Science, or IS-related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience supporting QMS/EMS/ISMS in manufacturing or high-tech.
  • Experience with audits, document control, corrective actions, or process improvement.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001/13485/14001/27001/AS9100/IATF 16949.
  • Internal Auditor certification preferred; Lead Auditor an advantage.
  • Familiar with CAPA, RCA, FMEA, risk assessment, and KPIs.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Able to work cross-functionally with customers, suppliers, and auditors.

Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation and continual improvement of the Integrated Management System (IMS).
  • Plan, conduct, document, and follow up on internal audits and corrective actions.
  • Develop, review, and maintain QPs, WIPs, SOPs, and IMS documentation.
  • Review and process document change requests per document control.
  • Monitor KPIs and support corrective/preventive actions.
  • Foster continual improvement to IMS effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on quality, environmental, and compliance issues.
  • Provide training and guidance on IMS requirements and best practices.
  • Support customer, certification, regulatory, and third-party audits.
  • Assist planning and coordinating external audits by certification bodies and regulators.
  • Stay current with ISO standards and industry best practices.
  • Identify and communicate potential compliance risks to management.
  • Execute special projects as assigned.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Support the implementation, maintenance, and continual improvement of the Integrated Management System (IMS), including Quality, Environmental, and other applicable management systems.
  • Plan, conduct, document, and follow up on internal audits, including tracking corrective actions through verification and closure.
  • Develop, review, and maintain Quality Procedures (QPs), Work Instruction Procedures (WIPs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and other IMS documentation.
  • Review and process document change requests in accordance with document control requirements.
  • Monitor and analyze departmental Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and support corrective and preventive action activities.
  • Support continual improvement initiatives to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of the IMS.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality, environmental, and compliance issues.
  • Provide training and guidance on IMS requirements, procedures, and best practices.
  • Support customer, certification, regulatory, and third-party audits.
  • Serve as a resource for IMS-related inquiries and provide guidance to internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain current knowledge of applicable ISO standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Identify and communicate potential compliance risks to management.
  • Assist in planning and coordinating external audits conducted by certification bodies, customers, and regulatory agencies.
  • Execute special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Environmental Science, Information Systems, or a related field required.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience supporting Quality, Environmental, Information Security, or other Management Systems in a manufacturing and/or high-tech environment.
  • Experience supporting Quality Management System (QMS), Environmental Management System (EMS), or Information Security Management System (ISMS) activities, including audits, document control, corrective actions, or process improvement.
  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of international management system standards, such as ISO 9001, ISO 13485, ISO 14001, ISO 27001, AS9100, or IATF 16949.
  • Internal Auditor certification is preferred; Lead Auditor certification is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of quality tools and methodologies, including CAPA, Root Cause Analysis, FMEA, risk assessment, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, customers, suppliers, and external auditors.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and document management systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work effectively, and meet project deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
