Job summary

Jabil, a global engineering and manufacturing services leader, seeks a Quality Technician to ensure product and process quality throughout the manufacturing lifecycle at our Penang site. You will perform in-process and final inspections, execute metrology tests, and document results to verify compliance with specifications.

Ideal candidates hold a Diploma in Electronics or related field, 2–4 years QA/QC experience in electronics manufacturing, and strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
• Experience with inspection tools and metrology equipment.
• Strong understanding of quality control principles and methodologies (e.g., SPC, root cause analysis).
• Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
• Effective communication with all levels of staff.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced team environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-process and final inspections against drawings and quality standards.
• Perform quality tests using calipers, micrometers, CMMs and other tools.
• Document inspection results and report non-conformances.
• Assist in root cause investigation and CAPA implementation.
• Collaborate with production to address quality concerns.
• Maintain and calibrate inspection equipment.
• Participate in internal and external audits.
• Contribute to development and improvement of quality procedures.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and company policies.
