Job summary

Jabil, a global engineering and manufacturing partner, seeks Direct Quality Engineers to oversee quality activities within the area of responsibility in Penang, Malaysia. You will ensure efficiency, integrity and proactive quality support for manufacturing across global customer accounts.

You will lead QA plans, mentor teams, and collaborate with cross-functional groups to drive continuous improvement, cost reduction, and strong performance metrics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years related experience.
• Experience with global QA and APQP processes.
• Strong leadership and team coaching abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead recruitment and interview Quality Engineers and Technicians.
• Coach staff and monitor turnover; implement improvements.
• Define and drive QA strategies for global new product introductions.
• Coordinate cost-reduction initiatives and process improvements.
• Ensure timely QA plans and documentation for customer programs.
• Communicate effectively across departments and with customers.
