Job summary

Jabil in Penang is seeking a Quality Technician to ensure product and process quality throughout the manufacturing lifecycle. You will conduct inspections, run tests, and verify adherence to specifications, documenting results and addressing non-conformances.

Role requires 2–4 years in QA/QC in electronics manufacturing, ability to read drawings, operate metrology tools, and contribute to CAPA programs. Join a global leader focused on quality and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Diploma or equivalent in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
2-4 years of experience in a Quality Assurance or Quality Control role, preferably within an electronics manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
Experience with various inspection tools and metrology equipment (calipers, micrometers, gauges, CMM operation is a plus).
Strong understanding of quality control principles and methodologies (e.g., statistical process control, root cause analysis).
Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with all levels of staff.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).

Responsibilities

Conduct in-process and final inspections of manufactured products, components, and materials against engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
Perform various quality tests using a range of measurement equipment and tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, CMM, optical comparators) and interpret results.
Document inspection results accurately and thoroughly, identifying and reporting non-conformances or deviations from specifications.
Assist in the investigation of root causes for quality issues and support the implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Collaborate with production teams to address quality concerns, provide feedback, and promote a culture of quality awareness.
Maintain and calibrate inspection equipment, ensuring proper functionality and accuracy.
Participate in internal audits and support external audits as required.
Contribute to the development and improvement of quality procedures, work instructions, and documentation.
Adhere to all safety guidelines and company policies.
