Job summary

T HASEGAWA FLAVOURS (KUALA LUMPUR) SDN. BHD. is seeking a QA/QC professional to assist the QA & QC Manager in ensuring compliance with food safety regulations through audits, risk assessments, and FSMS development.

This role supports continuous improvement and safe production practices across the facility. The candidate should hold a Bachelor's degree in Food Science, have at least 2 years in a related role, and be proficient in FSMS, Halal and document control, with strong Malay and English

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Food Science or equivalent from a recognized institution.
• A minimum of 2 years of relevant / similar role in a food manufacturing industry.
• Working knowledge and experience in FSMS, Halal, and document control.
• Capable of working alone and with others to meet tight deadlines.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written in Malay and English.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain food safety and quality programs in compliance with regulatory requirements
• Keep up-to-date information and knowledge that align with FSMS to ensure the organization remains compliant
• Initiate, update and maintain document related to FSMS
• Undertake the monthly Plant Sanitary Inspection and other associated verification activities
• Conduct Environmental Monitoring Program and identify potential hazards
• Arrange and perform calibration of measuring devices (Yearly and as and when necessary)
• Conduct the requisite annual internal audit of the Food Safety Management System (FSMS) (FSSC 22000, ISO 22000 and HACCP)
• Prepare and provide assistance during external audits (i.e. Regulatory, certification body or customer audits)
• Initiate, recommend, investigate, and provide solutions and actions to prevent the occurrence of any nonconformities relating to the products, process and food safety system
• Coordinate with Production and vendors to ensure compliance

Assists the QA & QC Manager in ensuring food products and premises meet all food safety regulations and standards through audits, risk assessments, and program development, as well as to ensure the ongoing management and continual improvement of the Food Safety Management System (FSMS).

Key responsibilities
