Job summary

T HASEGAWA FLAVOURS (KUALA LUMPUR) SDN. BHD. seeks a Chemistry QC Specialist to plan, organize and monitor laboratory QC activities across raw materials to finished products.

You will develop methods, validate tests, manage chemicals, and ensure safety and compliance with GLP, HACCP, ISO 22000 and FSSC 22000 standards. The role requires a Bachelor’s in Chemistry, IKM membership, and at least 2 years in a food manufacturing QC environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or equivalent.
• Member of Malaysian Institute of Chemistry (IKM).
• At least 2 years in a food manufacturing QC role.
• Experience operating ICP‑OES and GC‑MS.
• Knowledge of GLP, HACCP, ISO 22000 & FSSC 22000.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and monitor QC activities in the laboratory.
• Conduct quality control tests from raw materials to finished products.
• Develop, improve and customize equipment and analytical methods.
• Perform validation and verification for test methods.
• Manage chemical inventory, storage and safety.
• Conduct CHRA activities and operate lab machineries safely.
• Prepare documents such as Certificates of Analysis and evaluation reports.
• Assist during external audits and handle customer inquiries.
