Job summary

COHERENT in Penang seeks a Quality Manager to lead the site quality function, ensuring products and processes meet customer, regulatory, and company requirements. You will drive prevention, corrective action, and continuous improvement across the organization.

The role encompasses overseeing QA, QC, supplier quality, and quality engineering activities, managing audits, and coaching quality personnel to raise awareness and capability across the site.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the site quality management system and procedures.
• Lead Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Supplier Quality, and Quality Engineering activities.
• Monitor quality performance including defects, customer complaints, audits, and corrective-action closure.
• Lead customer, internal, supplier, and external audits and ensure findings are addressed.
• Oversee product inspection, nonconformance control, and product release processes.
• Lead investigations into customer complaints and internal quality issues; ensure root causes and corrective actions are effective.
• Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, and Supply Chain to prevent defects and improve processes.
• Communicate quality risks and performance to site leadership and customers as appropriate.
• Develop and coach quality personnel and build quality awareness across the site.
