Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Business Administration or related discipline.
• 3–5 years in quality assurance and control within manufacturing, logistics or transport.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and quality management systems (QMS).
• Experience conducting audits, inspections and non-conformance investigations.

About the role

We are seeking a Quality Manager to join Kintetsu World Express (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd in customer premises base at Batu Berendam, Melaka. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing our quality assurance and control processes across our manufacturing, transport and logistics operations. As Quality Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that our services and products meet the highest standards of quality whilst supporting the broader quality management framework of the organisation. This position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on operational excellence and customer satisfaction within a dynamic logistics and transportation environment.

• Develop, implement and maintain quality assurance procedures and standards across all operational areas, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company policies
• Conduct regular quality audits and inspections of processes, products and services to identify areas for improvement and ensure adherence to established quality benchmarks
• Investigate quality issues, complaints and non-conformances, documenting findings and implementing corrective and preventative actions (CAPA, 4CC) as required
• Prepare detailed quality reports and performance metrics, presenting findings and recommendations to senior management and relevant stakeholders
• Train and coach operational staff on quality standards, procedures and best practices to foster a culture of continuous improvement
• Collaborate with various departments/parties including operations, customers stakeholders to address quality concerns and implement solutions
• Monitor and maintain quality documentation, records and systems, ensuring data integrity and traceability
• Participate in root cause analysis activities and contribute to the development of preventative strategies to minimise quality issues
• Assist in the planning and execution of internal audits and management review meetings

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Business Administration or a related discipline
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in quality assurance and control within the manufacturing, logistics or transport industry
• Strong knowledge of quality management systems, ISO standards (particularly ISO 9001) and industry best practices
• Proven experience in conducting quality audits, inspections and non-conformance investigations
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and implement effective solutions
• Proficiency in using quality management tools and software, as well as data analysis and reporting capabilities
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across multiple departments and levels of the organisation
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate documentation and records
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment
• Proficiency in English; knowledge of Bahasa Malaysia is advantageous
• Professional certifications such as Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) or similar qualifications are preferred
