Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Quality Management System Officer-Executive to establish, implement, and maintain a robust QMS across our precision manufacturing operations, including plastic injection moulding and precision turning. You will drive compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and evolve toward ISO 13485 for medical device manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Experience implementing QMS in manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 9001, ISO 14001 requirements.
• Experience conducting internal and external audits.
• Familiarity with ISO 13485 transition for medical device manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain a robust QMS across plastic injection moulding, precision turning, and turnkey operations.
• Define, document, and communicate quality standards, policies, and procedures.
• Lead cross-functional teams to ensure QMS compliance.
• Conduct regular audits to assess QMS effectiveness and compliance.
• Monitor quality metrics and provide actionable insights to management.
• Investigate and resolve non-conformities and customer complaints, implementing CAPA.
• Support ongoing certification efforts and ISO transition initiatives.
• Champion continuous improvement to enhance product quality and efficiency.

Quality Management System Officer-Executive

The QMS Officer/Executive will play a pivotal role in establishing, implementing, and maintaining a robust Quality Management System across our precision plastic injection moulding, precision turning, and turnkey manufacturing operations (including metal stamping, PCBA, and secondary assembly), ensuring that our processes and products consistently meet or exceed IATF 16949, ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and customer requirements across the electrical & electronic, automotive, food & beverage, air-conditioning and medical device sectors.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive Quality Management System (QMS) tailored to a precision engineering and manufacturing environment covering plastic injection moulding, precision turning parts, and turnkey processes such as metal stamping, PCBA, and assembly.
2. Define, document, and communicate quality standards, policies, and procedures throughout the organization.
3. Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with QMS requirements.
4. Conduct regular internal and external audits to assess the effectiveness and compliance of the QMS.
5. Monitor and analyse key quality performance metrics, providing actionable insights and reports to senior management.
6. Investigate and resolve customer complaints and non-conformities, implementing corrective and preventive actions.
7. Keep abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices related to QMS in precision manufacturing, and support the company's ongoing certification and compliance efforts, including the transition towards ISO 13485 (Medical Device QMS) as part of the Group's medical device manufacturing expansion.
8. Champion a culture of continuous improvement, leading initiatives to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
