Job summary

Fairfield Inn & Suites Sabah, Malaysia, is seeking a non-management Food & Beverage professional to prepare meals, regulate oven temperatures, thaw frozen items, and ensure proper portions and garnishes while maintaining food logs and presenting dishes to standard.

In this on-site role you will monitor quality, inform Chef of menu changes, assist in hiring, training, scheduling, and coaching staff, and uphold safety and security policies to ensure guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree.
• At least 3 years of related work experience.
• No supervisory experience required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals and substitute items according to recipes and standards.
• Regulate oven, broiler, grill, and roaster temperatures to ensure quality.
• Thaw frozen items safely and ensure proper portioning and garnish.
• Maintain accurate food logs and monitor quality and quantity of prepared food.
• Communicate needs during busy periods and inform Chef of excess items for specials.
• Assist in recruiting, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, and coaching staff.
• Follow safety, security, and company policies; uphold professional appearance.
