Job summary

Brooks Automation in Pasir Gudang, Johor Bahru, Malaysia is seeking a Quality Engineer to establish and sustain high product quality. You will develop, implement, and monitor robust quality systems to ensure products meet specs and customer expectations.

You will work with cross-functional teams to reduce manufacturing variation, troubleshoot issues, lead continuous improvements using Lean, Six Sigma, and related tools, and ensure compliance with ISO 9001 while supporting design and development

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical) or Materials Science.
Willing to perform 3 rotating shifts.
5–7 years of relevant experience in a quality-focused role.
CQE or CRE certification is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

Develop Quality and Process Control Methods with cross-functional teams.
Process Monitoring and Control to reduce variation.
Defect Analysis and Troubleshooting using structured tools.
Quality Audits and Compliance with ISO 9001 and customer requirements.
Data Analysis and Reporting of quality metrics.
Continuous Improvement Initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and other methodologies.
Production Performance Analysis to identify patterns and optimization opportunities.
Statistical and Quality Methodology Application for root-cause analysis.
Product Specifications and Documentation support for QC/test procedures.
Customer Quality Issue Resolution with corrective actions.
Closed-loop Problem Resolution for CAPA cycles.
New Product Development Support integrating quality into design and manufacturing.
Industry awareness for regulatory updates and best practices.
Leadership and Mentorship of junior engineers.
