The Quality Engineer supports the Quality Manager in maintaining and improving the QMS to ensure product quality and drive process improvements. Based in Shah Alam, the role conducts incoming inspections, non-conforming material handling, supplier quality, NPI support, root cause analysis, SPC data analysis, and internal/external audits.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in quality assurance or quality engineering.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards.
• Knowledge of occupational safety and health regulations is an advantage.
• Experience using SAP system is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality inspections on incoming materials and products.

Position

The Quality Engineer supports the Quality Manager in maintaining and improving the organization's quality management system (QMS). The Quality Engineer will be responsible for ensuring product quality, improving processes, and working closely with suppliers and internal teams to meet quality standards.

Responsibilities

Perform quality inspections on incoming materials and products.

Manage non-conforming materials and support issue resolution.

Work with suppliers to improve and maintain material quality.

Support new product introduction (NPI) and sample qualification.

Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.

Monitor and analyze quality data using SPC and other tools.

Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

Conduct internal and external quality audits.

Maintain accurate quality documentation and ensure compliance.

Handle customer complaints and quality-related issues.

Provide support and training to the quality team.

Support the implementation, maintenance, and continual improvement of ISO management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001).

Coordinate and participate in ISO internal audits, management reviews, and certification activities.

Promote and support workplace safety and health initiatives in accordance with occupational health and safety regulations and company policies.

Identify safety and health risks related to quality processes and collaborate with relevant teams to implement corrective measures.

Requirements

Degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field.

Minimum 5 years of experience in quality assurance or quality engineering.

Well versed with quality tools (e.g., SPC, root cause analysis).

Familiarity with quality management systems and standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001).

Knowledge of occupational safety and health regulations and best practices is an advantage.

Experience using SAP system (e.g., material management, quality modules) is an added advantage.

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Good communication and teamwork abilities.
