Job summary

HPMT Industries Sdn Bhd is seeking a Quality Engineer to drive quality improvements in a manufacturing setup. You will handle customer complaints and supplier quality issues, perform RCAs and 8D investigations, and support APQP/PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plan and product validation activities.

You will monitor SPC/MSA data, review drawings, generate quality reports, and leverage AI tools to enhance reporting and analysis. A strong background in ISO 9001/ISO 14001 and GD&T is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering is required.
• Min 3 years' experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plan, SPC, MSA and 8D methodology.
• Experience handling customer complaints, supplier quality issues and CAPA.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management System.
• Able to interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and data analysis.
• Process/Manufacturing Engineering experience preferred.
• Experience using CMM, height gauge or profile projector preferred.
• Knowledge of Power BI, SQL, Python or Tableau preferred.
• Familiar with AI tools for reporting and data analysis; Mandarin/Chinese is a plus.

• Utilize AI tools to improve reporting efficiency, trend analysis and problem-solving activities.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve quality, yield and productivity.

About you

Experience in handling customer complaints, supplier quality issues and CAPA

Knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management System

Able to interpret engineering drawings and GD&T

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and data analysis

Process Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering experience (preferred)

Experience using CMM, Height Gauge, Profile Projector or other measuring equipment (preferred)

Knowledge of Power BI, SQL, Python or Tableau (preferred)

Familiar with AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT or Gemini for reporting and data analysis.

Mandarin / Chinese communication skills will be an added advantage.
