Job summary

Precision Cutting Tools is seeking a Quality Engineer to maintain ISO 9001/ISO 14001, lead audits, and drive continuous improvement across manufacturing. You will manage customer complaints, perform root-cause investigations (8D, 5 Why), and support APQP/PPAP during new product development.

The role requires 3-5 years in quality engineering within tooling/manufacturing, knowledge of SPC/MSA/PFMEA, and GD&T interpretation.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Industrial/Materials Engineering or equivalent.
• 3-5 years of Quality Engineering experience in manufacturing, tooling or related industries.
• Experience with APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, SPC, MSA, and Control Plans.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards.
• Strong Root Cause Analysis skills (8D, 5 Why, Fishbone).
• Ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Experience with quality inspection equipment (CMM, profile projector, height gauge, hardness tester).

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve Quality & Environmental Management Systems (ISO 9001 & ISO 14001).
• Lead internal and external audits, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage customer complaints, quality claims, and root cause investigations using 8D, 5 Why, and other quality tools.
• Drive production quality improvement through SPC, MSA, PFMEA, Control Plans, and process capability analysis.
• Support customer compliance requirements such as RoHS, REACH, CMRT, and other regulatory standards.
• Represent Quality in New Product Development (APQP), PPAP submission, product validation, and customer approvals.
• Collaborate closely with customers, suppliers, and cross-functional teams to deliver quality excellence.

What We’re Looking For

• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and GD&T
• Experience with quality inspection equipment such as CMM, profile projector, height gauge, and hardness tester
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
