PENTAMASTER CORPORATION BERHAD is seeking a Quality Control Supervisor in Penang to lead the QC team and ensure all products meet customer specifications before production release.

The role requires implementing robust QC procedures, analyzing data for root causes, and coordinating with engineering and manufacturing for continuous improvement. Strong leadership and familiarity with automotive quality standards are essential.

Main Goal

Supervise QC team to ensure all products are according to customer specification before release for production.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and manage a team of quality control inspectors and technicians, ensuring effective performance and professional development
Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive quality control procedures and inspection protocols aligned with automotive industry standards
Conduct regular inspections and testing of products at various stages of manufacturing to identify defects and ensure compliance with specifications
Analyse quality data and trends to identify root causes of defects and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
Prepare detailed quality control reports and documentation for management review and customer reporting
Liaise with production teams to address quality issues and facilitate timely resolutions
Conduct training and competency assessments for quality control staff on inspection techniques and quality standards
Maintain calibration records for all testing and measuring equipment in accordance with industry requirements
Ensure compliance with automotive quality standards, including ISO/TS 16949, ISO 9001, and customer-specific requirements
Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to support continuous improvement initiatives

Required Skills

A relevant diploma or degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, or a related discipline
Minimum 5–7 years of experience in quality control or quality assurance roles, with at least 2–3 years in a supervisory capacity
Strong knowledge of automotive quality standards and regulations, including ISO/TS 16949 and ISO 9001
Proficiency with quality control tools and methodologies, such as Statistical Process Control (SPC), Six Sigma principles, or Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA)
Experience with precision measurement instruments and testing equipment commonly used in automotive manufacturing
Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with attention to detail
Proficiency in quality management software and Microsoft Office applications
Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in additional languages is advantageous
Certification in Quality Management (e.g., ASQ CQE, CQA) is preferred but not essential
