Job summary

Topmix Resources Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to perform routine inspections of materials, processes, and finished goods to ensure compliance with quality standards.

The role includes calibration of measurement tools, maintaining meticulous records, and reporting any non-conformances for corrective action. The ideal candidate has a Diploma in quality control or related field, with 3+ years in QC/QA and a working knowledge of ISO 9001 and OSHA.

Qualifications

• Diploma in quality control, engineering, manufacturing or related field.
• 3+ years experience in quality control or quality assurance preferred.
• Mandarin communication is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of quality management systems (ISO 9001) and OSHA Act.
• Proficiency in quality inspection tools and techniques including root cause analysis and corrective action planning.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections of incoming materials, in-process items, and finished products to ensure quality.
• Perform calibration on measurement instruments (tape measure, micrometer, etc.).
• Document inspection results and deviations for traceability and quality reporting.
• Identify and report non-conformances; assist in root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Monitor production processes to ensure QC procedures are followed and suggest improvements.
• Prepare and maintain QC reports, inspection checklists and related records.
• Collaborate with QC Supervisors and other departments to address quality issues promptly.
• Follow safety guidelines and use PPE during testing and inspection.
• Handle ad hoc tasks assigned by management.

Job description

• Conduct routine inspections of incoming materials, in-process items, and finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
• Perform calibration on measurement instruments likes measurement tape, micro-meter and so, including master and inhouse calibration.
• Accurately document inspection results, test findings, and any deviations from quality standards; maintain records for traceability and quality reporting.
• Identify and report any non-conformance issues or defects to the QC Supervisor; assist in determining root causes and implementing corrective actions.
• Assist in monitoring the production process to ensure compliance with quality control procedures and recommend improvements where needed.
• Prepare and maintain QC reports, inspection checklists, and records; update relevant documentation to reflect changes in quality standards or inspection criteria.
• Work closely with QC Supervisors, and other departments to ensure quality issues are addressed promptly and effectively.
• Follow all safety guidelines, ensuring a safe working environment during testing and inspection activities, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• To manage ad hoc task assigned by management from time to time.

Qualification:

Diploma in Quality Control, Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field.

Preference with 3+ years of experience in quality control or quality assurance role.

Ability to communicate effectively in Mandarin will be an added advantage.

Strong knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) & related OSHA Act.

Proficiency in quality inspection tools and techniques, including root cause analysis and corrective action planning.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
