iHandal Energy Solutions is seeking a Quality Control Engineer to safeguard the quality of every product from the production line. You will inspect components, conduct functional and pressure tests, document results, and flag non-conformances on the spot.
You will sign off on final inspections before packing, ensuring each unit meets the standard. This role demands detail-orientation, technical capability, and pride in catching issues early.
iHandal Energy Solutions is a Malaysian sustainable engineering company focused on helping commercial and industrial clients improve energy efficiency, reduce operating costs, and lower carbon emissions.
Founded in 2009, iHandal provides turnkey sustainable engineering solutions — with customised Mechanical & Electrical systems across water heating, process cooling, air conditioning, and waste heat recovery applications. The company is known for its proprietary HeatFuse technology, which captures and repurposes wasted heat, helping clients improve energy performance and operational savings.
Today, iHandal serves clients across sectors including hospitality, healthcare, residential, and industrial manufacturing, with solutions deployed across Malaysia and the wider Asia Pacific region.
We are looking for a Quality Control Engineer to safeguard the quality of every product that leaves our production line — working closely with our Research & Development and Production teams to make sure what we build matches what we design.
Each day starts with reviewing the production schedule and incoming materials alongside the production team. From there, you will spend your day inspecting components, running functional and pressure tests on units in progress, documenting results, and flagging non-conformances on the spot rather than letting them pass downstream. Before any unit moves to packing, you will conduct the final inspection and sign off on it — your name effectively goes on every product that meets the standard.
This is a role for someone who is detail-oriented, technically capable, and takes genuine pride in catching the small things before they become big problems.
Quality control here is not a back-office checkbox function — you will work directly alongside the engineers who design our products and the production team who builds them, which means your feedback actually shapes how things get built, not just whether they pass.
As iHandal scales its manufacturing output, the quality function will need to grow with it. The person who builds strong fundamentals in this role now is well-placed to take on more ownership as that happens — eventually growing into a Senior QC Engineer or QA Lead role overseeing the broader quality system.
You will also be part of a company whose entire product line exists to reduce energy waste. Every unit you inspect and approve is one that will go on to measurably lower a client’s energy consumption and carbon footprint.
Every HeatFuse unit that reaches a customer site needs to perform reliably from day one — a client running a hotel or a manufacturing facility cannot afford a system that fails inspection after it is already installed.
This role exists to catch defects, inconsistencies, and quality issues before a product ever leaves the factory — protecting both the customer experience and iHandal’s reputation for engineering that actually works as intended.
You will coordinate closely with the production team to ensure products meet quality standards and are delivered on schedule. As part of the engineering team, you will help implement and execute the quality control systems that keep production consistent.
You will inspect incoming production materials, manufacturing order forms, process reports, and product test reports to confirm quality specifications are met. You will perform quality control checks and functional tests on manufactured products, troubleshooting defects or issues as they arise. You will also need to log any non-conformances and generate formal Incoming Reject Report / Supplier Defect Report to isolate defective incoming material and initiate supplier corrective action.
You will ensure every product goes through pressure testing, with results recorded and supported by photo documentation. Before any unit is packed, you will carry out a final inspection — checking the product against its process report and photographing major components for record.
When defects or inconsistencies are identified, you will develop methods to inspect, test, and evaluate them properly — and propose corrective actions and improvements so the same issue does not recur.
You will assist with on-site testing and commissioning support and troubleshooting when required, and take on other duties as needed to support the wider engineering and production team.
You will review and maintain QC guideline, sampling plans, and testing procedure and test report documentation.
You will oversee the regular calibration and maintenance of measuring instrument and gauges, and testing tools
In this role, you will be performing well when:
This role is for someone who finds real satisfaction in precision — someone who would rather catch a defect today than have it become a customer complaint tomorrow.
You are comfortable moving between detailed inspection work and hands‑on troubleshooting, and you take genuine ownership of the products that pass through your hands. Quality, to you, is not a formality — it is the standard everything else depends on.
As iHandal’s manufacturing operations grow, this role has real room to grow with it — toward a Senior QC Engineer or QA Lead position with broader ownership of the quality system. If you want to build that kind of depth and influence over time, this is a strong place to start.
