Job summary

Vigor Precision (M) Sdn Bhd in Johor is seeking a Quality Assurance Manager/Assist QA Manager to lead the establishment and implementation of the Quality Management System (QMS) in line with VQG, PS, PQ and ISO 9001 standards. You will build the quality organization, recruit and mentor the QA, QC, QMS and Laboratory teams, and ensure robust quality processes across production.

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality management, manufacturing or related field.
• Minimum 3 years in quality management within plastics, molding, or consumer products.

Responsibilities

• Lead the QMS establishment and ensure ISO 9001 alignment with company standards.
• Develop and recruit/lead the local quality team (QA, QC, QMS, Laboratory).
• Oversee qualification of molding/production equipment (IQ, FAT, SAT).
• Plan and manage measurement/test equipment (CMM, VMM, Drop Tester) incl. calibration.
• Lead product transfer quality activities from China to Malaysia (PPAP, process validation).

Job description

Quality Assurance Manager/ Assist QA Manager

Lead the establishment and implementation of the Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with company requirements (VQG, PS, PQ) and ISO 9001 standards.

Develop the quality organization structure and recruit, train, and lead the local Quality team (QA, QC, QMS, Laboratory).

Oversee the qualification and approval of molding and production equipment, including Installation Qualification (IQ), Factory Acceptance Test (FAT), Site Acceptance Test (SAT), capability studies, and equipment validation.

Plan and manage measurement and testing equipment (e.g. CMM, VMM, Drop Tester), including procurement, calibration, and Gauge R&R (GR&R) acceptance.

Lead product transfer quality activities from China to the Malaysia plant, including PPAP, process validation, and initial sample inspections.

Prepare for customer quality audits (especially TLG/LEGO) and ensure effective follow-up on audit findings.

Establish quality KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives using PDCA and other quality improvement methodologies.

Ensure compliance with customer, regulatory, and company quality standards throughout production.

Job Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Manufacturing, or a related discipline.

Minimum 3 years of experience in quality management within plastic injection molding, manufacturing, assembly, or consumer products industries.

Strong knowledge of:

• ISO 9001 Quality Management System
• PPAP
• Process Validation
• Quality tools and continuous improvement methodologies
• Measurement systems and calibration management

Experience leading quality teams and building quality systems in a manufacturing environment.

Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.

Able to work independently in a fast-paced new plant environment.

Good command of spoken and written English.

Preferred Qualifications (Added Advantage)

• Experience supporting TLG (LEGO) quality requirements.
• Experience in toy or high-quality consumer products manufacturing.
• Certified or experienced IATF 16949 Internal/Lead Auditor.
• Ability to communicate in Bahasa Malaysia and/or Mandarin.
